Nate is a freelance photographer based in his long-time home of Chicago. He is recognized by his award-winning photos and work seen in Reuters, The Washington Post, Deutsche Welle, the Chicago Tribune, and the Evansville Courier & Press.​​

What started in 2015 as an Eagle Scout Service Project documenting a non-profit's work in the West Side of Chicago turned into a lifelong career.

In 2022, he earned his undergraduate degree in Visual Communication at Ohio University, where projects and involvement with the student newspaper inspired interests in local profiles and digging beyond a one-sided view of communities.

Nate is a member of the National Press Photographers Association and NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists. He is open for assignments around Lake Michigan and the Midwest.
